ENGINEERED FOR 20 YEARS

OPzV battery technology combines the two proven pillars of stationary energy storage: tubular positive plates and silica-gelled VRLA electrolyte. The tubular plate grid holds the positive active mass in woven gauntlets, strongly reducing plate growth and mass shedding, while the gelled electrolyte eliminates free acid and water top-ups for the entire service life.

The result is a 2V cell platform engineered for long uninterrupted standby duty: a floating design life of 20 years at 25 degrees C, more than 2000 cycles at 80% depth of discharge, wide temperature capability from -40 to +70 degrees C and excellent deep discharge recovery - even after long storage or partial-charge operation.

BATTERY CONSTRUCTION

The tubular positive plate is the heart of the design: red lead produced in-house and an optimized lead-calcium-tin alloy reduce hydrogen evolution, while the highly porous gauntlet raises the share of positive active mass. Premium sliding poles with brush insert and rubber seal, a fully insulated copper intercell connector and a heavy-duty ABS container with optional V0 flame retardancy complete a construction certified to DIN, IEC and EN stationary battery standards.
